Erica Gonzaba fell in love with music and entertainment when she was 4 years old. At the age of 7, she began performing with a local musical theater company in her hometown of San Antonio, TX. She went on focus her vocal training in classical and opera music, winning many vocal competitions across the state of Texas.
In 2007, Erica had the opportunity to showcase her voice to the world when she was chosen over thousands of applicants to appear as a contestant on the hit Latin American television show Objetivo Fama, known as the Spanish American Idol. Each week Erica built a large international fan base by mesmerizing millions of viewers throughout the world with her voice and stage presence.
Erica has sang for 2 Presidents – President Barack Obama and President George W. Bush. She was most recently selected to sing for the Latin Grammy’s for Verizon Wireless’ Live Promo Event and the Texas Democratic State Convention. She’s also had the privilege of singing at major sporting events for the San Antonio Spurs, the Texas Rangers in Arlington, NCAA Final Four, Valero Alamo Bowl, and more. Erica has recorded with producers from all over the world, including the Italian producers Andrea Tarsia & Filippo Pezzi. Their 2 hit singles are available for download on Itunes/Amazon and were recently featured in Ibiza on radio and DJ playlists.
Erica has also participated as the Mistress of Ceremonies for major events in San Antonio, such as Palo Alto College’s PACfest during Fiesta San Antonio and Vision Walk for the Foundation Fighting Blindness. She served as Miss Fiesta San Antonio 2005 and currently serves as a member of the honorable “Order of the Cascaron” for Fiesta San Antonio. She also serves on the Board of Directors for the South San Antonio Chamber of Commerce. Erica can also be seen hosting several community TV segments on Fox, WOAI, and CW35 in San Antonio.
